Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve
Located on the un-dyked floodplain of the Vedder River, the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve is home to over 90 great blue heron nests. The park is also frequented by bald eagles, painted turtles and the Salish sucker. The site includes a large Interpretive Centre, observation tower, bird blinds and over 8 km (5 mi) of hiking trails.

Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park
Home to the sixth largest waterfall in Canada, the 122 m (400 ft) Bridal Falls, this provincial park features a day-use area that is often used for picnics and hiking. Visitors can bring pets but must keep them on-leash.

Cheam Lake Wetlands Regional Park
Cheam Lake Wetlands Regional Park protects over 90 hectares of marsh, lake and uplands. It is also the home for a variety of bird, animal and insect species, with its sensitive habitat providing an ideal environment for mink, river otters, black-tailed deer, rough necked newts, Western toads and the rare Western Pondhawk dragonfly. It is a popular spot for nature hikes, picnics and wildlife appreciation.
