Aug 29 to Aug 31 The annual Chilliwack Bluegrass Festival is held at Chilliwack Heritage Park (Trans Canada Highway #1 at Lickman Road) on Labour Day weekend. Bands come from all over Canada and the United States. There is a free corn roast every night, corn shukin' contests, an open mic, slowpitch jam, children's activities, free workshops and a church service on Sunday. No alcohol or pets are allowed. The event is put on by the Chilliwack Community Arts Council.

TBA The Celebrate the Arts Parade happens annually in May and is committed to honouring the vibrant arts community in Chilliwck. The parade starts at 11am. After the parade there is a cultural celebration at Five Corners Plaza, where ethnic entertainment, family activities and food will be found until 3 pm.

TBA Beginning at 8 am, a pancake breakfast brings everyone down to the Canada Day celebrations. The entire family can enjoy it all including a firefighter's hose competition, basketball, a tug-of-war, the Rotary train and the Little Britches Rodeo. One of the newest activities is the Chilliwack Chili Championship. After the stage show the day finishes with the national anthem and and fireworks at 10 pm. Call Ana Macedo for details.
